KISHTWAR: ERO Thakrie (ACD), Phulail Singh today inspected the Special camp on Revision of Panchayat Electoral Rolls held here in Panchayat Ghar Feller.
Summary revision of electoral rolls is being conducted across the district Kishtwar under the overall supervision of District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO- DC) R.K. Shavan.
During the inspection visit, the ERO Thakrie educated the general public about the procedure for up-dation of Panchayat Draft Electoral Roll and urged youth, who would attain 18 year with January 1 2025 as the qualifying date, to register themselves as voter in Electoral Roll.
Further he took stock of the petitions seeking addition, deletion, correction and transposition of voters.
The Special camp was attended by Chahat Bharti AERO/BDO Thakrie, RDD officials and Ex-PRIs.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Commissioner Development reviewed the status of development indicators in the Panchayat envisioned under the Model Panchayat Development Project. The ACD assessed the progress of different schemes being implemented by the Rural Development and other departments, aiming to achieve saturation of all scheme indicators to benefit the local community, especially 78 indicators as envisaged under the MPD project.
Interacting with the locals, the ACD provided valuable insights on RDD schemes especially wage employment under MGNREGA, steps for water sufficient Panchayat, significance of SBM-G and proper utilization of assets, construction, completion of PMAY,-G houses, addition of more houses under PMAY-G, industrial initiatives, and other departmental projects. The effort aligns with the Deputy Commissioner’s mission to drive sustainable and inclusive growth in rural areas.
The ACD urged locals to resolve on their own to achieve the status of Model Panchayat by extending cooperation to the administration’s efforts.
The ACD also attended a public grievance camp, addressing local concerns and resolving issues on the spot. He said that Govt’s proactive approach demonstrates the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric governance.
Chahat Bharti BDO (Block Nodal Officer), Panchayat Nodal official, other departmental representatives, Ex-PRIs, and the general public were in attendance.
