DC Rajouri inspects progress of establishing baling and shredding unit

RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal today inspected the progress of establishing baling and shredding unit in Panchayat Bathooni. The unit is part of the district administration’s efforts to make rural Rajouri clean and green under Swachh Bharat Mission Phase-II.

During his address, Kundal emphasised the importance of the Swachh Bharat Mission and its impact on the health and well-being of Rajouri’s residents.

The baling and shredding unit will facilitate recycling and environmentally friendly waste disposal. The district administration has already completed 176 segregation sheds, implemented door-to-door waste collection and provided employment to 312 people. Additionally, 150 Community Sanitary Complexes (CSCs) have been completed.

Kundal said that the ultimate goal is to make Rajouri a model for other rural communities in terms of cleanliness and sustainability. The district administration encourages everyone to support the Swachh Bharat Mission and work towards making Rajouri a cleaner, greener and more sustainable place to live.

Among others, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Sheraz Chowhan; Executive Engineer REW, Zahir Khan; AEE REW, Ather Chowhan, staff of RDD sector, PRI members and locals were present on the occasion.
