‘Timing for schools within Srinagar municipal limits to remain the same as notified earlier’

SRINAGAR: The School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Wednesday ordered change in school timings from April 1 for all schools of Kashmir division falling outside municipal limits.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in this regard, an order was issued by Director of School Education (DSEK), Tassaduq Hussain Mir.

In the order, he said that the new timings for the government and the recognised private schools falling outside Srinagar Municipal limits will be from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

The orders shall be implemented from April-01.

“The order and the instructions shall be adhered to strictly by all the concerned institutions,” the DSEK said.

Earlier on February-28, School Education Department had changed school timing in Srinagar city from 9 am to 2 pm.

Under Secretary to government for School Education Department had said, “I am directed to convey approval of the department for change of school timings in Srinagar City from 9 am to 2 pm from March 01.”

Pertinently, in the backdrop of ongoing work for Srinagar smart city, the timing of all schools within the Srinagar municipal limits shall remain the same from 9 am to 2 pm.
