Chairperson, INYAS, Prof. Dhaka delivered expert talk at Ganderbal School

SRINAGAR: To encourage creative thinking and innovation among school students, Chairman Indian National Young Academy of Science (INYAS) Prof. Rajendra S. Dhaka, Chairperson delivered expert talk at Syed Maqsood Model School in Kurhama area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

The program was aimed to encourage creative thinking and innovation among school students, under the Science Outreach Programme of INYAS, Prof Dhaka delivered his lecture on “Material Science and Technology for Society.

The event was attended by more than 100 students and teachers from across Kashmir. It was coordinated by Dr. Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor, NIT Srinagar, and a member of INYAS. Local arrangements were made by Dr. Gulzar Bhat, University of Kashmir.

On the occasion, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Assistant Prof. (NIT Srinagar) said that the program was conducted under the theme of G20 and S20. Such programs are the need of the hour and as they motivate students to choose their careers in science.

“Overall it was a very motivating lecture and I hope that students benefited from it,” he said.

Under INYAS, Prof. Dhaka said that the mandate of INYAS is to motivate young students and our main focus is to do outreach activities in remote areas. He congratulated Dr. Vijay Kumar for successful conduct of the outreach program and reach out to grass roots.
