DC Kathua inaugurates career guidance workshop organised by NYK Kathua

KATHUA: Nehru Yuva Kendra Kathua organised a workshop on career guidance called “Employment & Skilling” for unemployed youth in the region at Prajapati Mandir in Kathua today. Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Pandey, inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest.

The workshop aimed to provide guidance to unemployed youth and equip them with the necessary skills to find employment opportunities. It featured sessions on resume building, job search strategies and interview techniques.

Youth hailing from different parts of the Kathua district participated in the event. Experienced professionals from various fields conducted the sessions and provided valuable insights into the job market and the skills required to succeed in different industries.

In his address, DC Kathua said that the main purpose of the workshop was to provide exposure to the youth by giving them an opportunity to interact with officers and officials from diverse backgrounds and learn from their experiences. The program aimed to help the youth identify their career goals, set education milestones and have a clear path to achieve their goals.

He encouraged the participants to take advantage of the resources available and emphasised the importance of acquiring skills and knowledge to build successful careers and contribute to the nation’s growth.

Speaking on the occasion, DD NYK Kathua, Som Dutt Zard, said that the objective of the event was to provide students with comprehensive information about the diverse career paths available to them and assist them in making informed decisions about their future.

Nehru Yuva Kendra plans to organise similar workshops in the future to continue supporting the youth in the region and empower them with the tools they need to succeed.
