DDC conducts public redressal grievances camp at Block Narsoo

UDHAMPUR: To address the grievances of the public, District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna along with a team of District officers today conducted a public outreach cum grievances redress camp at Block Narsoo.

 DC Councillor Narsoo, Subash Chander;  BDC  Chairman Narsoo, Sardara Begum;  Sarpanches, Panches and  local people  of adjoining Panchayats projected several demands and problems being faced by them. They demanded  augmentation of drinking water supply, renovation of road from Masjid to Madar, Establishment of Government High School, Provision of road crossing on NH, Renovation of old Bowlies, Construction of passenger shed, meeting shortage of staff in educational institutions, Appointment of Chowkidar in new Panchayats,  early completion of  PMGSY roads, adequate Ration supply, Appointment of Urdu teacher in local government middle school, construction of foot bridge and installation of hand pump etc.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the demands and problems of the people and directed the concerned officers to take necessary action under norms for their early redressal.

Responding to the issues raised by the public, the DDC asked the officers to visit people’s doorstep and provide them with all the basic facilities. She said the main objective of holding the public grievances was to redress the genuine problems of the people within the stipulated time frame. The concerned officers were directed to resolve the genuine demands on priority and submit the detailed report of pending issues, so that the same be projected to higher authorities for consideration.

After concluding the weekly public outreach camp, the DDC inaugurated a Solid Waste management segregation unit at Narsoo. Locals expressed gratitude to the district administration for resolving the long pending issue of Solid waste management segregation unit in the block.
