DODA: In continuation to the UT administration’s multiple campaigns, initiatives launched to reach out to the people at their doorsteps to assess the disparities in development, listen to the public aspirations and plan out a holistic programme to address their genuine issues and aspirations, District administration Doda on Wednesday organised Grievances Redressal cum Awareness camps at four locations under the weekly Block Diwas program.
The Block Diwas meetings were held at Block Headquarter Bhaderwah, Sub District Bhaderwah; Sub Divisional Headquarter, Sub Division Gandoh; Higher Secondary School Assar, Sub Division Assar and Revenue Complex Thathri, Sub Division Thathri.
People in large numbers attended the Block Diwas at all the four locations and projected their demands. They demanded up-gradation of local infrastructure in the Health and Education sectors, besides extension of road connectivity, water and power facilities in the area. The people sought macadamisation of roads, execution of works under MGNREGA, replacement of damaged electric poles and up-gradation of educational institutions.
The programme was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan.
The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave a patient hearing and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.
