‘My Town My Pride’ 2.0 begins at Hajin with overwhelming public participation

BANDIPORA: ‘My Town My Pride’, government’s unique initiative commenced here on Monday at Hajin witnessing overwhelming public participation. 

Special Secretary Skill Development, Mohammad Ashraf visited Hajin to assess public issues and concerns besides taking stock of development scenarios in the town.

The two-day long programme, an initiative for the Municipal areas, is being conducted in Urban Local bodies, during which camps for public service delivery are being set up.

Students on occasion performed various cultural programs and other competitions were held to enthrall the participants.

Special Secretary, Skill Development, the Visiting Officer for Municipal Committee Hajin convened a joint meeting of officers, councilors and senior citizens at Municipal Committee Hajin  and discussed the development issues of the town. 

He said the main aim of this programme is to reach out to the urban population to redress their grievances. He took feedback from the Councillors and asked concerned officers to redress the grievances of the people in a time bound manner.

President, Municipal CommitteeHajin, Irshad Ahmad Wani briefed the visiting officer about the development profile of the town besides projecting some important issues concerning growth and development of the area.

The visiting officer met various delegations who projected their demands and problems regarding their development requirements. He heard them patiently and assured them that their demands will be projected for redressal to authorities.

The Visiting Officer  also distributed land Passbooks, Golden Cards under Ayushman Bharat, Cheques to PMAY beneficiaries and baby kits under various individual beneficiary Oriented Schemes on the occasion.

He along with MC Chairman Hajin, SDM Sumbal, Executive Officer, and ZEO later toured Hajin town and inspected various ongoing projects in the town. 

The event was attended by Chairman Municipal Committe Hajin Irshad Ahmad Wani, Executive Officer Hajin, Traders Federation, Transport Association, Civil society and other senior citizens of the area.
