KATHUA: The Jan Abhiyan Shehri activities ended on a spirited note in Kathua as Stakeholder Departments made all out efforts to achieve their targets during the 7 day campaign which was a preparatory phase before the launch of second edition of ‘My Town My Pride’.
The Jan Abhiyan Shehri was an action-packed programme which involved the majority of the departments of the government that have identified development deliverables to saturate in this week-long campaign having critical importance to the public. The campaign was aimed at focusing on youth, skills, self-employment, good governance, and ULBs along with “Nasha Mukt and Rozgar Yukt J&K”.
The District Administration Kathua had made a well knit plan to achieve maximum numbers of deliverables by involving the key stakeholders ensuring the active participation of ULBs and engaging them in identifying the eligible and deserving beneficiaries.
During the Seven day outreach campaign a total of 156 awareness camps were held for saturation of all schemes viz PMAY-U, DAY-NUPM, SVANidhi, AMRIT2.0 and SBM-U
Under Door to Door awareness campaign under Single Use Plastic a total of 1956 household, commercial units covered across 6 Municipalities in the district. Besides 155 CSC camps were also organised to provide e-services to the urban populace in Kathua district
Under one of the key deliverable identified for Jan Abhiyan Shehri, a total of 134 people were provided Self Employment during the campaigns with the active participation of Departments and Banks
During the five days of the campaign a total of 3533 Land Passbooks were also issued to the land owners besides 1201 Golden Cards were also given to the beneficiaries.
The campaign witnessed overwhelming response from the people who turned up in large numbers in Awareness camps and other activities.
