Seminar on Entrepreneurship Scenario in J & K; Opportunities & Challenges held at GDC Hyderpora

SRINAGAR: SMS (M) GDC Hyderpora organized one day Seminar on the theme “Entrepreneurship Scenario in J & K: Opportunities and Challenges” in the memory of Late Prof. G.M. Bhat. 

The Chief guest of the seminar was Prof Tasleema Jan, Head, Department of Education, University of Kashmir. 

The other eminent guest speakers on the occasion were  Dr. Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad, Assistant Professor ZIBS Zhejiang University, China;  Dr. Shabir Ahmad Parra, Dept. of Electronics of Instrumentation Technology, University of Kashmir;  Abdul Hamid Bhat CEO Rahim Motors, Rangreth, Srinagar and Dr. Sheikh Javid, Dept. of Electronics of Instrumentation Technology, University of Kashmir. 

The Principal SMS (M) GDC Hyderpora, Prof. Gh. Jeelani Qureshi inaugurated the seminar, welcoming the guests and elaborated the purpose of organizing the  seminar. 

Prof. Rakshanda Lateef, Department of Education, GDC Hyderpora sketched the early life and contributions of Prof G. M. Bhat while Prof Sheikh Javid shared his life experiences with Prof G.M Bhat and highlighted his contributions in the arena of Innovation and Technology. 

Later, Prof. Shabir Ahmad Parra who recently figured in the top 2 % of scientists list in the field of Image processing and Artificial Intelligence by Stanford University, California, USA deliberated upon Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Technoprenuership.

Sharing his success story, Abdul Hameed Bhat amazed the audience with his achievements and struggle in the field. 

Prof Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad enlightened the participants about the successful evolution of nations through Innovation and Entrepreneurship while  Prof. Tasleema Jan shared her views about the seminar and highlighted the role of innovations in the real-life situations. 

The convener of the seminar was Professor Khurshid Ahmad Mir of Department of Political Science and while   Imtiyaz Ahmad Gull of Department of Commerce hosted the programme and Prof. Tanveera Tabassum of Department of Zoology presented  vote of thanks.
