District Industries Centre B’pora organizes Awareness programme

BANDIPORA: With the motive to generate  employment opportunities for the youth, the District Industries Centre (DIC), Bandipora  today organized an awareness camp at block Aloosa to sensitize the people about the flagship programmes like Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other schemes in industrial and service sectors.

On the occasion, Project Manager DIC, Mehraj wani highlighted the schemes being implemented by the UT as well  by the Central Government to encourage the youth to become job creators instead of job seekers.

Wani asked participants to register themselves with the DIC to take benefits/ subsidies under various youth and beneficiary oriented schemes. He also highlighted the component of different schemes, besides encouraging them to start their small ventures under the PMEGP in manufacturing and services sectors.

The Industrial Promotion Officer and Block Investigator also sensitized  participants about procedures and various formalities required for registration under MSME and uploading of application forms under PMEGP scheme besides the benefits of enrollment with DIC.

General public, Panchayat Raj Representatives and College students attended the awareness camp.
