ADDC presides over weekly Block Diwas at Keegam, Shopian

SHOPIAN: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Manzoor Hussain today listened to public issues at the weekly Block Diwas programme held at Keegam, Shopian.

At the outset of the public outreach and grievance redressal programme, concerned Block Development Officer presented a brief on the developmental profile of the Block and requested the PRIs and citizens to put forth their demands and issues.

PRI members, Senior Citizens and public of adjoining Panchayats of Keegam projected scores of demands and apprised the chair about developmental and welfare issues.

The people submitted memorandum of demands highlighting issues including better road connectivity, drinking water supply and other amenities.

While listening to the demands of people, ADDC assured the participants that all their genuine demands shall be taken up with the concerned for appropriate action.

He directed the officers to work in coordination for equitable development of all Panchayats.

Officers and officials of line departments, PRIs and public participated in the Block Diwas.
