Sopore: Rejected by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association for several times, Mateen Teli, a youth from Sopore namely Mateen Teli, was selected as a net bowler for the England test team before their second test against the New Zealand at Trent bridge stadium.
According to reports, Mateen bagged a couple of wickets, in which he clean bowled one of the dangerous batsmen of the era Jonny Bairstow and he took the wicket of Zak Crawley top-order batsman.
Mateen was praised by England’s coach and renowned cricketer Paul Collingwood.
The family of Muteen confirmed to Kashmir Despatch that this development took place before few days when he was selected for England net bowler.
The family termed this a moment of joy for whole Kashmir.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch over phone, Muteen Teli said that he is very much excited to prove his ability and capablity in the field as this is really a golden opportunity for him
“Hardwork never goes waste and one should believe in self and prove his skills.”
In a message to Kashmiri younger generation Muteen said that youth should focus on their career and should not leave any stone unturned till they achieve any milestone.
