DHSK visits hospitals, constitutes teams to physically monitor functioning

Srinagar: Following heavy snowfall, Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK), Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Saturday visited various hospitals across Kashmir in order to see functioning and the patient care management in view of the snowfall and inclement weather conditions in the valley.

A spokesperson of Directorate of Health Services Kashmir said the director visited many hospitals of north Kashmir including SDH Sopore and SDH Pattan in view of the snowfall.

During his visit, he oversaw the functioning of the patient care services and also enquired from patients about the patients care services being provided to them.

The director also took an online meet with all the Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), Block Medical Officers (BMOs) and Medical Superintendents and asked them to ensure that patient care services are not affected due the snowfall.

He directed them to be present at their places of postings in order to provide uninterrupted patient care to the general public and ensure there is no laxity.

The director also to bring in to the notice of the directorate in any kind of difficulty they are facing while they are managing patient care services in hospitals due to the inclement weather.

On the directions of the director, various teams were constituted following the heavy snowfall which visited various hospitals of north, south and central Kashmir areas.  The teams were headed by Deputy Directors and Assistant Directors of the directorate.

Meanwhile, in view of snowfall and resurgence in Covid-19 cases, the directorate issued a circular asking CMOs, BMOs, Medical Superintendents not to sanction any kind of leave to the Non-Gazzatted employees and not to forward any kind of leave case to the directorate in respect of gazetted employees except any case of emergency.
