DC Budgam conducts spot inspection of ongoing dev. projects

BUDGAM: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Akshay Labroo today conducted a field review of various ongoing developmental projects at the District Headquarters.

DC reviewed the ongoing construction of the Court Room, Public Waiting Room and Electric Control Room along with other allied works at the District Headquarters.

The works on all the projects are going on at an accelerated pace and have reached their final stages.

The DC instructed the executing agencies to maintain the momentum and ensure completion with full compliance to safety standards and quality.

He also inspected the Sheikh-ul-Alam Skill Centre and said that since the construction work is completed the centre will be made functional soon.

The upgraded hall will serve as a hub for skill development and capacity-building programs for the youth of Budgam.

During his visit to the Old DC Office Complex, the DC expressed satisfaction with the progress of renovation work, which is also nearing completion. He reiterated the importance of preserving the structure while ensuring its functionality to cater to the  needs of public in  the district.

The DC further inspected the Public Toilet Complex, where the construction work is almost completed. He stressed the need for ensuring accessibility, cleanliness, and proper maintenance once the facility becomes operational for the benefit of visiting public and to provide improved sanitation facilities.

These projects will improve infrastructure and public services, making daily life easier for residents. They will enhance facilities, ensure better accessibility, and address community needs, he said.

By upgrading essential services, they will contribute to the district’s overall development. The goal is to create a more efficient and well-equipped environment for the public, added DC.

Besides, ADDC, ADC, ACR, CPO, Dy.DEO, JE R&B and other concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
