DC Kulgam reviews functioning of CSCs, directs officers to monitor their functioning

KULGAM: To review the functioning of Common Service Centres (CSCs) and examine their operations for smooth delivery of essential public services to the local population, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today chaired a meeting, here.

At the outset, District Manager CSCs provided an overview of the CSC operations and the services offered.

It was informed that there are 528 sanctioned CSCs in the district, out of which 378 are active, with at least one CSC available in each Gram Panchayat.

Additionally, 13 CSC touch points have been established in government offices across the district.

DC directed the Coordinator CSC Kulgam to open more CSCs in the remote areas of the district.

He emphasized on making all the touch points functional at the earliest and discontinue the CSCs which are non functional for a long time.

He highlighted the importance of resuming all CSC operations to facilitate public registration for welfare schemes like PM-KISSAN, PMAY-G, PMSYM, PMJDY, and Ayushman Bharat, as well as for obtaining domicile certificates.

Athar cautioned against overcharging and delays in service delivery to prevent any repercussions.

DC directed the officers to identify the space in their respective offices within days for making all the touch points functional.

Tehsildars and BDOs were directed to monitor the functioning and services provided by the CSCs to common masses in their respective jurisdictions.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, ACD, ACR, All Tehsildars, BDOs, ARTO and the District Manager CSC Kulgam, along with the Village Level Entrepreneurs.
