Asks for expeditious execution, completion of vital projects

JAMMU: Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today directed the district administration, Poonch, to expedite ongoing developmental works, with focus on projects being executed under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Highlighting that Jal Jeevan Mission is the top priority of Union Government and JK administration, Javed Rana enjoined upon the officers that no lackadaisical approach will be tolerated while carrying out different works under this prestigious project.

Taking serious notice of delays in execution of certain developmental projects, he instructed them to work in mission mode so that safe and adequate drinking water is made available to people of the district.

He further instructed the Deputy Commissioner Poonch and sectoral heads to ensure timely completion of ongoing projects while maintaining quality standards. He asked the officers of the Jal Shakti to monitor execution of works in their respective divisions to ensure steady progress.

The Minister further instructed for adopting a proactive approach to resolve all bottlenecks in project execution including land acquisition, procurement, inter-departmental coordination and conducting field inspections to monitor progress, ensuring successful completion of projects.
