DC Rajouri calls for strict adherence to PSGA in delivery of public services

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a meeting here in his office to review the implementation of the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) by the government departments.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to ensure that applications seeking different services are processed in a time-bound manner to prevent inconvenience to the general public. He emphasised the need for strict adherence to PSGA provisions, instructing officials to adhere to the act in letter and spirit.

“All mandated government services must be delivered to citizens within prescribed time and in a hassle-free manner,” he directed and asked the officials to take proactive measures to minimize delays and enhance transparency in governance. He further asked ADCs, SDMs, and Tehsildars to closely monitor and curb illegal mining in their respective jurisdictions by taking stringent action against the perpetrators.

Additionally, He reviewed the ongoing works on the National Highway and instructed officers to identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure smooth progress of these critical infrastructure projects.

The meeting concluded with a call for enhanced coordination among departments to improve service delivery and expedite developmental works in the district.

The meeting was attended by senior district officials, including ADC Rajouri Rajiv Khajuria, ADC Kotranka Dilmir, ADC Kalakote Tanveer Ahmed, ACR Rajouri Mohd Jahangir Khan, SDM Thanamandi Abid Hussain, and Tehsildars.
