NEW DELHI: The survey described India as the seventh most vulnerable country to climate change. It pointed out India was prone to extreme weather patterns and phenomenon like sea-level rise, biodiversity loss and growing water scarcity.
It pointed out that these conditions threatened agricultural productivity, with estimates suggesting that climate change could reduce India’s GDP by 3 per cent to 10 per cent annually.
