NEW DELHI: The Special Cell of the Delhi Police has been directed to investigate a new video released by proscribed outfit Sikh for Justice (SFJ) chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun in which the “designated terrorist” has purportedly threatened to target the Republic Day Parade on January 26 to prevent President Droupadi Murmu from unfurling the Tricolour.

In the video, Pannun is heard threatening the Indian Government and asking the Delhi people not to send their children for the parade as “Khalistani vigilantes will perform an action”. The video was flagged by Delhi-based lawyer Vineet Jindal, who lodged a complaint with Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora.

“Pannun stated that a budget of $1,25,000 has been allocated by the SFJ for the attack,” the complaint read.

Jindal has demanded the registration of an FIR and steps to ensure the security of the top leaders. The Commissioner forwarded the complaint to the Special Cell for necessary action.
