SHOPIAN: In connection with the celebration of upcoming Meraj-un-Nabi (SAW), Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, M Shahid Saleem today chaired a meeting of officers at Mini- Secretariat, here to finalize the arrangements by line departments for smooth observation of the auspicious day.
Auqaf Committee members of Asar Sharief Pinjora intimated about the arrangements to be kept in place, with particular focus on electricity and sanitation.
The DC listened to them patiently and assured proper arrangements shall be made by the administration for the smooth celebration of the day.
The DC instructed concerned officers for making adequate arrangements with respect to proper electricity, illumination, water supply, sanitation, transport & parking arrangements, security and medical facilities, etc.
At the Shrine of Asar-i- Sharief Pinjoora, Shopian and other prominent religious places of the district, special night prayers shall be held which will be attended by hundreds of devotees.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ADC, Dr.Zakir Hussain Faaz; SDM and other district and sectoral officers and Auqaf committee members.
