Deputy Commissioner reviews progress of work along Domail-Katra axis

REASI: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nidhi Malik conducted a comprehensive tour of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway along the Domail-Katra axis to assess progress and address key challenges hindering the project.

During her visit, she inspected critical sites where structures, graveyards, and schools were causing bottlenecks and directed concerned officials to resolve these hurdles swiftly to accelerate construction.

The Deputy Commissioner urged the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to expedite measures to resolve these issues to avoid delays in the execution of the project. She also discussed the matters related to compensation for already acquired and additional land. She stressed the importance of removing bottlenecks and maintaining consistent progress, given the expressway’s vital role in enhancing regional connectivity and boosting tourism and economic development.

Reaffirming the district administration’s commitment,   Nidhi Malik assured full cooperation with NHAI to ensure the timely completion of this landmark project. She emphasized that the expressway is not just a critical infrastructure project but also a catalyst for the socio-economic transformation of the region.
