SAMBA: Deputy Commissioner Samba Rajesh Sharma today inaugurated the “Panchayat-Level Awareness Campaign: Udyam Jagriti” under the Mission YUVA at CFC Shah Balore of Block Nud.
The event, organized by the Employment Office Samba, marked the beginning of an extensive outreach initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and skill development across the district.
Assistant Director Employment Naresh Kumar delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the scheme’s benefits to job seekers. The campaign will span across 09 Blocks, encompassing 101 panchayats throughout Samba District, with a strategic focus on raising community awareness, sensitising local populations and encouraging active participation in entrepreneurship.
The month-long awareness drive will particularly target educated youth, with a special emphasis on women participants. Key benefits under Mission YUVA include 25% Government subsidy, 5% interest subvention and an additional 10% subsidy for women and physically disabled persons.
As part of the initiative, participants will receive training on the YOUTH SKILL AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP app. The campaign will operate simultaneously across all Blocks, covering up to 03 Panchayats in two phases every Saturday, which has been officially designated as Mission YUVA days by the Government.
The inauguration was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Champa Devi and BDO Nud.
