North campus KU hosts workshop on soft skills for ministerial staff

SRINAGAR: To provide ministerial staff with techniques to manage stress, enhance communication and improve workplace efficiency, the Centre for Capacity Building & Skill Development (CCBSD), University of Kashmir (KU), organized a one-day workshop and orientation programme on ‘Importance of Soft Skills’ at the North Campus KU.

The workshop highlighted the importance of soft skills in improving communication and the role of such programmes in creating a more collaborative and productive work environment. 

While inaugurating the workshop, Director North Campus KU, Dr. Sheikh Ghulam Mohammad said, “Workshops like this equip staff with the tools they need to navigate workplace challenges efficiently and contribute effectively to the institution.”

The sessions featured speakers including Dr. Bilal Ahmad Kullo, faculty at Department of Teacher Education North Campus KU, Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed, faculty at Department of Social Work Main Campus KU and Mr. Mohammad Yousuf, Project Officer CCBSD KU.

Dr. Bilal Ahmad Kullo discussed the importance of maintaining a positive attitude and leadership skills in both daily life and workplace settings.

Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed spoke about teamwork and strategies for conflict resolution and Mr. Mohammad Yousuf elaborated on the significance of soft skills and effective communication in fostering a harmonious work environment. 

Participants actively engaged in the sessions which were interactive and informative. They expressed satisfaction with the programme and shared their positive feedback on its relevance and practical approach. 

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
