DODA: The Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) and Monitoring Committee meeting was held today at Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhaderwah under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, who is also the Chairman of the VMC.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman Nominee Sunil Kumar; Principal Shamsher Singh, teacher representatives, eminent members, and parent representatives of the VMC.
The meeting focused on key aspects, including academic progress, administrative requirements and infrastructure development.
Academic Initiatives: It was informed that the school has successfully completed the Periodic Test 2 for Classes VI to IX, Half-Yearly Examination for Class XI, and Pre-Board Exams 1 and 2 for Classes X and XII. Further the remedial classes for slow bloomers have been planned from December 4 to December 23, 2024 during winter vacations to enhance academic outcomes.
Regarding Administrative Decisions, approval was sought for the procurement of essential items such as chairs, inverters, and computer accessories through the GeM portal.
Funds were sought for Infrastructure including Maintenance of office, washroom plumbing and classroom furniture repairs, besides installation of two water tanks to ensure uninterrupted water supply. Completion of condemnation processes, especially for computer hardware and software.
Projects were proposed for Special repair of damaged pillars on the building terrace, construction of four toilets and two classrooms for lab activities and blacktopping of the pedestrian path and plans for a permanent school building.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected various stalls set up by the students, showcasing their talent and creativity. He inspected the school building, classrooms, and other facilities, commending the efforts of the staff and students.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of academic and infrastructural development and assured all necessary support for the school’s future initiatives.
