Takes stock of agricultural interventions adopted by farm
SRINAGAR: The Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today visited Seed Multiplication Farm (SMF) Harran Budgam to take stock of various agriculture interventions that have been adopted by the said farm.
Speaking on the occasion, Director expressed satisfaction and said the farm has successfully adopted different innovative measures during the cultivation of vegetable crops.
He said the department is committed to provide quality planting material to the farmers, and directed the concerned officers to ensure sufficient quantity of seed/ seedings is provided to the farmers.
Director Agriculture said that vegetable cultivation is now not only restricted to the rural areas but is gaining popularity in urban areas as well, therefore department has to play a big role.
Earlier, the Farm Manager SM Farm Harran informed the Director about various interventions, innovations that are being adopted by the technical experts during seedling production process at the farm.
