NMBA: Training conducted for Master Volunteers at Shopian

SHOPIAN: A day long training program was held for Master Volunteers under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) in Shopian district today, organized by the State Level Coordination Agency (SLCA) in collaboration with District Administration Shopian.

This program was aimed to equip volunteers from various departments, including Higher Education, School Education, Health, Poshan Abhiyaan (ICDS), Municipality, and Social Welfare, to combat drug addiction and promote a drug-free society.

Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar who attended the program called upon participants to take full benefit of the training program and carry forward and disseminate the vital information among the target groups, most vulnerable to the drug addiction.

The trainers were sensitized and educated about the dangers of drug abuse and the need to arrest the ever increasing trend of abuse. These initiatives demonstrate the government’s commitment to eradicating drug addiction and promoting a healthier society.
