Calls for collective enthusiasm in ensuring all beneficiaries receive support under various CSSs

ANANTNAG: Member of Parliament (MP) from 3- Anantnag Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency (PC), Mian Altaf Ahmad today chaired a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at Dak Bungalow Khanabal, Anantnag. 

The meeting was attended by the Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC), MY Gorsi and Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from the district including Peerzada Mohammad Syeed (Anantnag), Altaf Ahmad Wani (Pahalgam), Ab. Majeed Larmi (Anantnag West), Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri (Srigufara Bijbehara), Chaudhry Zafar Ahmad Khatana (Kokernag) and Riyaz Ahmad Khan (Shangus).

The meeting focused on the progress of key development projects and government schemes.

The MLAs projected the development needs and demands of their respective constituencies. 

During the meeting, District Development Commissioner Anantnag, SF Hamid briefed the chair on the ongoing development activities across the district. He highlighted the progress of various government schemes, including MGNREGA, PMAY, NRLM, Ayushman Bharat, JJM, and ICDS, among others. 

He informed that works under the District CAPEX plan are moving forward with greater momentum, with tenders completed and several projects already underway.

The Member of Parliament conducted a detailed review of these schemes, emphasising the need for improved performance in power transmission, PHE, Health, Agriculture etc distribution networks, MGNREGA, SBM, PMAY, NRLM, and the JJM.

He also specifically focused on the welfare of farmers, particularly dairy farmers, urging increased efforts to enhance the marketability of milk production in the district and strengthening the district’s electrical network. 

The chair also stressed on the importance of cooperation and coordination among MLAs, district officers, and other stakeholders. 

He called for collective enthusiasm in ensuring that all beneficiaries receive support under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).

The meeting concluded with a unanimous commitment to accelerating development initiatives and ensuring the welfare of the people in Anantnag. District officers and sectoral heads were urged to work together efficiently to deliver tangible results across all sectors.

The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police Anantnag, ADDC, ADC, all sectoral Heads and District officers.
