RAJOURI: An Inquiry Committee, led by Additional District Development Commissioner Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive inspection of the 180-bedded Associated Hospital Block.

Accompanied by officials from Government Medical College (GMC), the Public Works Department (PWD), and the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL), Dr. Thapa reviewed various aspects of the hospital infrastructure and identified critical deficiencies.

The inspection follows the directions of District Development Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, who initiated the inquiry to expedite the process of making the hospital fully functional.

Key areas of concern were evaluated, including construction quality, electrical and mechanical installations, and compliance with medical standards. The Inquiry Committee emphasized the need for immediate action on identified shortcomings to ensure the hospital can soon serve the community effectively.

He said the District administration is committed to fast-track the resolution of these issues, with further steps to be determined based on the committee’s findings.
