RAMBAN: The District Administration, Ramban today organised a massive “Bike and Car Tiranga Yatra” as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to pay homage to the martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. The Yatra also recognized the invaluable contributions of the Indian Army and other security forces in safeguarding the nation.
The event led by Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, commenced from the Ramban Viaduct to Chanderkote. The rally passed through key areas including Ramban town, Chanderkote market, and Maitra.
It witnessed enthusiastic participation from DDC Member Renuka Katoch, prominent citizens, youth, social workers, members of the Beopar Mandal and other dignitaries.
Senior officers, including SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar, SSP Traffic Rohit Baskotra, ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, along with other officers, also participated in the Bike Rally, which saw the involvement of over 300 bikes & cars.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted that the District Administration is organizing a series of patriotic events across the district to ignite a sense of nationalism and pride among the people. He paid tribute to the martyrs for their supreme sacrifices and encouraged citizens, particularly the youth, to actively participate in the celebration of the 78th Independence Day in their areas.
The Deputy Commissioner urged people to embrace the campaign’s theme of “Har Ghar Tiranga, Swachhta Sangram, Ek Ped Maa ke Naam, and Ek Ped Shaheedon ke Naam” by participating in the tree plantation drives dedicated to mothers and martyrs.
