Ramban Admin reaches out to Citizens; DC addresses public concerns at Maitra

RAMBAN:  As part of the public outreach campaign initiated by Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Deputy Commissioner of Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, presided over a mega public grievances camp today at Maitra, Ramban. 

ADDC, Roshan Lal, ACR Harpal Singh, ACD Shrinath Suman, ACP, Ashfaq Khanji, CPO, Shakeeb Ahmed Rather, GM DIC Ravinder Anand, Executive Engineers, all district and Sectoral officers attended the meeting. District Development Councillor, Renuka Katoch along with various prominent citizens participated in the public grievances camp besides highlighting issues of the public.   

Residents from various panchayats across Ramban Block attended the camp, where they highlighted numerous issues of public interest. 

Demonstrating a proactive approach, Deputy Commissioner, addressed the majority of projected concerns on the spot by issuing directives to the relevant officers and seeking immediate compliance reports.

The people apprised the Deputy Commissioner about their issues and demands including strengthening of road connectivity by completing ongoing and sanctioned road projects, issuance of ration card on the new survey for APL and BPL, drainage system along NH-44 from Kunfer to Chanderkote, functioning of water filtration plant Chanderkote, ensuing quality and timely completion of Jal Jeeven Mission projects, Sports stadium in Ramban town, protection of soil erosion by developing channels and protection works under Watershed Development Programme, clearance of FRC cases and various other such issues of public interests.   

The Deputy Commissioner issued directives to ensure timely resolution of public grievances and enhancing the quality of governance through direct interaction with the citizens. Many issues were resolved on the spot. 

The camp facilitated direct communication between the administration and the residents, promoting transparency and trust. Officers were tasked with providing compliance reports to ensure the implementation of solutions.

Similar Block Diwas programs were reported from Sangaldan; Block Headquarter Rajgarh; Dak Bunglow, Batote; Block Headquarter Gandhri; PWD Hut  Ramsoo; and Town Hall Banihal, where public in large number interacted with the administrative officers of various departments to bring forward their concerns and feedback. The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave patient hearing to the public concerns and assured timely redressal.
