SAMBA: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) today conducted a first of its kind sensitization workshop under J&K Startup Policy-2024-27 for the officials of various line departments of district Samba.
The workshop was aimed at enhancing government officials’ understanding of the Startup Policy including the benefits under Startup JK and Startup India schemes.
The officials were also sensitized on procurement of products and services from startups and organizing hackathons cum challenges to solve problems faced by the departments by seeking solutions from the startups.
The workshop, held at the Conference Hall DC Complex, Samba saw participation from officials of various departments to explore and understand the dynamic world of startups and its impact on regional economic development. The event featured a series of presentations and interactive sessions led by officials of JKEDI. The discussions focused on key aspects of the startup ecosystem including funding opportunities, regulatory frameworks, and the role of government in fostering a supportive environment for startups.
The program was conducted under the overall supervision and direction of Rajinder Kumar Sharma, Director JKEDI. The workshop was coordinated by Vijender Singh Jamwal, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Samba and officials from Startup JK team including Zahid Ali Dar, Sorab Mengi and Shiwani Sharma.
