Students from all 11 zones showcase innovative Science Projects
POONCH: In a celebration of scientific exploration and creativity, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin. M. Choudhary today inaugurated a captivating Science Exhibition at the District Industrial Education and Training (DIET) center in Poonch.
The exhibition was organized under the auspices of the Rashtriya Bal Vigyanic Pradarshani and the Millets for Health and Sustainable Planet seminar.
Principal of DIET Poonch, Anjali Gupta, warmly welcomed the Deputy Commissioner and the Joint Director of School Education, Mohd Ashraf Choudhary.
During the event, the Deputy Commissioner and the Joint Director of Education inspected the various models and projects displayed by the students, covering a diverse range of scientific themes.
The Deputy Commissioner commended the efforts of the students and teachers, and encouraged the DIET Principal to organize more such exhibitions to foster innovative and practical ideas among the students.
The event was organized in a phased manner, with participation from the school, zonal, and district levels. A total of 75 models from the 11 zones of the district were showcased at the district-level exhibition. The students who secured the top three positions in the exhibition and seminar were awarded prizes and mementos by the chief guest.
The Joint Director of School Education also interacted with the participants and emphasized the importance of millets, a key focus area of the event.
Principal Anjali Gupta briefed the media and participants about the objectives and mission of the exhibition and seminar.
The event was a resounding success, with the presence of eminent jury members, including Kirat Singh (Retd. Principal), Mohar Singh (Account Officer), Muzaffar Hussain (Sr. Lect.), Haroon Rathore (Lect.), and Ravinder Singh (Lect.), who played a crucial role in evaluating the students’ projects and presentations.
