Director Agriculture takes extensive visit of District Budgam

SRINAGAR: The Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal today undertook an extended visit of Budgam to take  stock of the agriculture scenerio in the district.

 He inspected the agriculture crop fields including paddy fields, vegetable fields, Maize fields in many areas of the district including Narbal, Kawoosa, Chewdara, Zanigam, Arizal, Nowpora, Yarikhah, Bugru and other areas of sub divisions Khansahab and Beerwah.

Director agriculture visited Kisan Khidmat Ghar at Bugru, Community seed bank Narbal, community seed bank Bugru, established under HADP. 

Highlighting the importance of KKG, the director said this will ensure all the facilities to the farmers at their doorsteps. He asked farmers for diversification of crops so that they could earn round the year.

On his visit to Kisan Khidmat Ghar KKG Bugru Budgam , director agriculture held an exchange of thoughts with the farmers. He said the KKGs will play an important role in further streamlining the agriculture activities.

 He assured the farmers of every possible technical guidance in their future endeavours.

Earlier Director Agriculture inspected some HADP works and took feedback from the concerned farmers about the said works.

 Chief Agriculture Officer Budgam Syed Tafazul Hussain Madani, District Agriculture Officer, Sub-divisional agriculture Officer and other officers were present on the occasion.
