DC Baramulla chairs DRAC meet; approves 72 RACs

BARAMULLA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa Friday chaired the District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC) meeting, here to review and determine rent for private accommodations utilized by various government offices across the district.

During the meeting, a total of 73 Rent Assessment cases (RACs) were presented for assessment, out of which 72 were approved by the Committee.

The committee undertook a comprehensive assessment of rental agreements to ensure fairness and compliance with established norms. This initiative aims to optimize resource allocation and enhance cost-efficiency in government operations.

Following meticulous deliberations, adjustments were made to align rents with prevailing market rates, reflecting the committee’s commitment to prudent fiscal management and transparent governance practices.

Minga Sherpa underscored the importance of maintaining equitable rental arrangements that uphold accountability and facilitate uninterrupted service delivery by government departments in Baramulla District.

The DC expressed appreciation for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involved and reaffirmed the committee’s dedication to fostering effective administration and public service excellence.

Chief Planning Officer, Superintending Engineer, District Social Welfare Officer, Dy SP Baramulla besides other concerned officers and stakeholders were present during the meeting.
