DODA: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh reviewed the functioning of the Juvenile Justice Board and Child Welfare Committee here today at a meeting held in the DC complex. The meeting discussed strategies and measures to enhance the activities and effectiveness of the twin institutions.
A thorough discussion took place on multiple parameters to improve the functions and activities of the Juvenile Justice Board. Deliberations centered on case management, rehabilitation programs, legal aid for juveniles, and coordination with other agencies. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that the board operates efficiently and that juveniles receive the necessary support and guidance.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Manesh Kumar; District Project Officer ICDS Project Poshan S. Parmjeet Singh; Chief Education Officer (CEO) P.L. Thapa and Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shakeel Ul Rehman. Also present were the chairperson and members of the Child Welfare Committee, members of the Juvenile Justice Board Doda, social workers, and representatives from the Women Cell of the Doda Police Station.
This meeting underscored collaborative efforts from all stakeholder departments and organisations to ensure the welfare of children and juveniles in the district. The meeting highlighted the need for continuous monitoring and evaluation, inter-departmental coordination, and capacity-building initiatives for all those involved in child welfare and juvenile justice.
