District Screening Committee approves one case at Doda

DODA: To address grievances stemming from militancy-related incidents, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, presided over a significant meeting of the District Screening cum Coordination Committee in his office today. 

The Committee convened to deliberate upon 11 cases involving victims of militancy-related incidents and missing persons, all falling under the purview of SRO-43 of 1994.

During the session, rigorous discussions ensued among the committee members, including key stakeholders from various departments. After meticulous consideration, one case garnered approval, signaling a ray of hope for the affected family. Emphasizing expeditious action, DC Doda underscored the necessity for time-bound clearance of pending cases to alleviate the suffering of affected families.

In a bid to ensure the authenticity of claims, DC Doda directed officials to conduct thorough verifications of victims. The committee, which included ADC Doda Sudershan Kumar, Additional SP Doda Shakeel Bhat, and representatives from BSF, RR, CID, and other pertinent agencies, collectively pledged to streamline and coordinate efforts in combating prevailing issues within the district.
