Agriculture Department Kashmir celebrates National Voters Day

SRINAGAR: In connection with 14th ‘National Voters Day’ a function was today organised by the directorate of Agriculture Kashmir at Agriculture Complex Lalmandi Srinagar, to mark the foundation day of the election commission of India, established on 25th of January 1950.

The function was presided over by the Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal who also administered pledge to staff of the directorate and subordinate offices.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture highlighted the importance of National Voters Day. He stressed on responsibility to vote, besides the right to vote to strengthen the democratic setup. He said that this day provides us an opportunity to strengthen the foundation of democracy in our country

Joint Director Agriculture extension G.M Dhobi, Dy. Director Agriculture Central Waheed- ur- Rehman, Director Rakhs & Farms Madan Gopal Singh and other concerned officials were present on the occasion.
