Accords approval to 1852 applications under HADP
BARAMULLA: In a concerted effort to effectively implement Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) in the district, the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting of District Level Committee at the conference hall of the DC office here.
Officers from various departments under the HADP, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Fisheries, etc presented a thorough update on the current status of program registrations across various individual heads, departmental approvals and project deployments.
During the meeting, the DDC who is also the Chairman District Implementation Committee (DLIC), accorded approval to 1852 applications under HADP in favour of beneficiaries of Baramulla district.
Speaking during the meeting, the DC underscored that the HADP is a major step towards creating a sustainable and profitable agricultural ecosystem.
Minga Sherpa further stressed that the programme aims to empower farmers with knowledge and tools that can help them enhance their productivity and profitability while also contributing to the overall growth of the agriculture sector.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Javaid Ahmad; General Manager DIC, officers from Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and other concerned departments.
