DC Kathua gives away appointment letters to beneficiaries trained under SANKALP Scheme

KATHUA: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Dr. Rakesh Minhas today gave away appointment letters to the beneficiaries of the SANKALP scheme who were engaged by Chenab Textile Mills. The ceremony unfolded in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex, marking a momentous occasion for the skilled workforce in the region.

Under the SANKALP Scheme, beneficiaries received extensive training in Autoconer Tenter & Ring Frame Doffer at the prestigious Chenab Textile Mills and were later engaged by the management of the Textile Mill.

The initiative reflects the commitment of the district administration to nurture and guide skilled individuals, providing them with invaluable exposure through internship in relevant industries.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner Kathua emphasized the district’s dedication to facilitating the growth of skilled students, enabling them to reach new heights in their chosen fields. He urged students to opt for skills in demand by the numerous industrial units in the district, highlighting the vast opportunities for absorption of skilled human resources in the rapidly expanding industrial sector in Kathua. 

The ceremony was held in presence of Superintendent ITI Kathua  Er Ajay Kumar; Training Head CTM, Sandeep Kumar; MGN Fellow, Anamika; and Placement Incharge ITI Kathua, Pallav Shandlaya. Their collective presence underscored the collaborative efforts invested in shaping a promising future for the skilled workforce in Kathua.
