GGHSS Reasi marks Lohri Festival with Cultural Extravaganza and environment preservation Drive

REASI: Government Girls High Secondary School Reasi resonated with joyous festivities as the school celebrated the vibrant and culturally rich festival of Lohri.

The event, organized with enthusiasm and zeal, was graced by the presence of the District Development Commissioner Reasi Vishesh Mahajan, who presided as the chief guest. The event  was not only a celebration of cultural heritage but also marked a significant step towards environmental responsibility with the Theme “Say No To Polythene”

The Lohri celebration at Government Girls High Secondary School was a testament to the school’s commitment to embracing and promoting cultural diversity among its students and staff. The festive atmosphere was further elevated by a cultural program that showcased the essence of Lohri through various performances.

With The Theme “Say No to Polythene Bags” was launched with the   aim to raise awareness about the detrimental impact of plastic on the environment. During the anti-polythene drive, cloth bags were distributed among the students,  to reduce plastic usage and promote eco-friendly alternatives.

ADC Abdul Star, CEO Sunita Bali, Principal Sushma Mawa, teachers and students were also present on the occasion.
