Amina Majeed terms macadamization of inner roads after 15 yrs gap as blessing for locals
KUPWARA: “Macadamization of inner roads of Bramri after a span of long 15 years and upgradation of Bramri Maidanpora receiving station is not less than a blessing for the locals who seems highly grateful to the J&K government” extolled DDC Member Drugmulla, Amina Majeed, while participating in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event at Bramri Drugmulla here.
The event, chaired by Secretary, Disaster Management, Relief & Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, Nazim Zai Khan, during his extensive visit to Kupwara. He visited Bramri-B (Block Drugmulla) panchayat of Kupwara district, as part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, ADDC, Altaf Ahmad Khan, ACD, Dr. Mudasir Ahmad, ACR, Irfan Bhahadur, Chairperson, BDC Drugmulla, Shaheena Begum, representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), and locals of the area were present on the occasion.
Secretary inspected the stalls set up by various departments to showcase their achievements and services. He also interacted with the beneficiaries and scheme implementing agencies and appreciated their efforts.
The event witnessed screening of Prime Minister’s message played through the Information Education and Communication (IEC) van.
Nazim Zai along with the Deputy Commissioner, officers of district administration, PRIs and locals, actively took part in the Viksit Bharat pledge, reaffirming their commitment towards development of the nation.
The yatra also featured a segment called ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’, where the beneficiaries of various schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), MGNREGA, SBMG), UMEED, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY) and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) shared their success stories and experiences.
The programme was followed by a scintillating cultural performance (Kashmiri Rouff) by the students of local government school.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary said that the yatra aimed to ensure saturation and awareness of the schemes among the people. He added that the Yatra’s primary goal is to ensure every citizen benefits from government flagship schemes. He highlighted the need and role of different line departments in providing on the spot services to the people so that people can avail the benefits of different schemes at their door steps.
Nazim Zai praised the beneficiaries for sharing their stories and locals of Bramri for taking part in VBSY despite shivering cold.
Secretary handed over the sanction letter of the sheep unit under ISDS to a local unemployed Youth namely Jamshaid Ahmad Lone.
VBSY at Nagri -B today proved a momentous day for Kupwara district as all 385 panchayats of the district were successfully covered under the campaign.
Meanwhile, Secretary also visited Transit accommodation Nutnoosa and transit accommodation Kulangam where he reviewed development works.
DDC member Drugmulla demanded hotline electricity service for Health centre Dugmulla which caters to a large population of the area.
