VBSY organized in 22 Panchayats of Nutnoosa, Langate & Mawar Qalamabad blocks of Kupwara
KUPWARA: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), has picked pace in frontier Kupwara district by covering 22 Panchayats of Nutnoosa, Mawar Qalamabad and Langate blocks under the campaign, today.
The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan presided over a mega event of VBSY at Government Higher Secondary school Kandi Khass in Panchayt Halqa Kandi A.
On reaching the venue of the event, the DC inspected the stalls established by different departments of district administration and interacted with beneficiaries and field functionaries.
As part of the programme, DC took the Viksit pledge along with officers, PRIs and Public, affirming their commitment to the nation’s holistic development. VBSY witnessed enthusiastic response from the people, PRIs and Officers who participated in the mega event with enthusiasm.
Participants listened keenly to the recorded message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. On the occasion, People received information about various government schemes and other initiatives and got themselves enrolled for different services.
Under ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ Showkeena Akhtar, an HADP beneficiary and Amir Khalid beneficiary of Sheep Husbandry department shared their experiences about the benefits they availed after enrolling themselves in centrally sponsored schemes. They urged others to come forward and reap the benefits of these welfare schemes.
On the occasion, the DC also distributed sanction letters among the beneficiaries.
A scintillating and splendid cultural event under ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’ was presented by students who showcased their talent and captivated the audience.
Addressing the public, the DC said that the aim of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to saturate the benefits of Central government schemes and also ensure that government schemes reach the people’s doorsteps, contributing to the transformation of India into a developed nation.
She said that the nation is currently witnessing an economic development revolution with the aim of establishing a Viksit Bharat by the year 2047. She stressed upon the officers of district administration to meet the deadlines.
Ayushi urged the unemployed youth to take inspiration from the successful entrepreneurs and avail the benefits of HADP, PMEGP and other employment generation schemes.
She said that the demand of the receiving station for Nutnoosa will be prioritised under the RDDS.
On the occasion, DDC Member Nutnoosa, Adv. Zahoor Ahmad demanded that a receiving station for Nutnoosa may be sanctioned for which land has already been identified.
Earlier BDO Nutnoosa, Irshad Ahmad wani informed that 191 houses under PMAY-G are being constructed in the area, besides several developmental projects are under progress in Nutnoosa Block.
DC later paid a visit to Government Higher Secondary school Kandi, interacted with staff and students, inspected class rooms, lab and baseball court.
The schemes which were publicized in mega event of VBSY included, Ayushman Bharat, National Rural Livelihoods Mission, PM Awas Yojana (Rural), PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Vishwakarma, PM Kisan Saman; Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PM Poshan Abhiyan, Har Ghar Jal–Jal Jeevan Mission, Survey of villages and mapping with improvised technology in village areas (SVAMITVA), Jan Dhan Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Suraksha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana.
Meanwhile VBSY was today organized at panchayats of Jagerpora, Keegam, Pohrupith, Teerana, Yahama A, Unisoo, Khanoo, Babgund, Pringoo, Wahipora, Kawari, Shatgund Bala, Nutnoosa A, Kultoora, Yaroo, Shanoo, Yahama B, Shahnagri, Nutnoosa B, Kandi B, Guloora and Nowgam B.
