DC reviews ‘Assured Minimum Facilities’ in polling stations in Rajouri District

RAJOURI: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to assess the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) in Polling Stations in the district.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal diligently examined the status of essential facilities such as drinking water, sanitation facilities, electricity connections and ramps for accessibility in the various polling stations throughout the district.

Dy DEO Babu Ram Tandan informed that there are 680 polling stations in different locations in district Rajouri. Emphasizing the significance of these facilities in ensuring a smooth and accessible electoral process, DC Vikas Kundal directed all officers involved to ensure the availability and functionality of these essential services at every polling station. This directive is aimed at creating an environment that fosters easy and efficient participation of voters in the democratic process.

DC Vikas Kundal underscored the importance of maintaining the highest standards in electoral infrastructure to uphold the integrity of the electoral process. He stressed that these Assured Minimum Facilities are not just conveniences but vital components that contribute to the fairness and accessibility of the electoral system.

The Deputy Commissioner expressed confidence in the commitment of the concerned officers to meet these standards and directed them to work collaboratively to address any potential challenges that may arise in the process.
