GANDERBAL: On World Diabetes Day, the Health Centre in collaboration with Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW), Central University of Kashmir (CUK) and Block Medical Officer (BMO), Ganderbal, organised a one-day non communicable diseases (NCD) camp under flagship of Ayushman Bhav at Tulmulla Campus here Tuesday.
The camp was inaugurated by Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Shahid Rasool in the presence of BMO, Dr. Andleeb, Dean DSW, Dr. Irfan Aalam, and other functionaries of the university and district BMO.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Shahid Rasool, said, the camp was organized to address the growing health concerns related to non-communicable diseases. He said the camp aimed to raise awareness, provide early detection, and promote lifestyle modifications for better health outcomes, for the students and staff of the university.
As many as 200 participants including the students, faculty and staff availed the facilities during the camp which included counselling, consultation, free medication and some non-fasting tests.
District Immunization Officer, Dr. Bushra and Dr. Zahid and paramedical staff from the BMO Ganderbal, CUK Medical Officers Dr. Sheeba, Dr. Abid, paramedics, Javed Ahmad, Javid Ali, Jehangeera were also present.
