DC Doda sensitises officers about B2V5 & Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra

1st round of activities being held in 92-panchayats from Nov 9

DODA: The first round of Back to Village phase-5 programme has been announced in 92 panchayats chosen from various CD Blocks in Doda District.

 The Prabhari Officers shall visit their respective panchayats on 9th of November, stay there for the night, and continue their scheduled activities on the 10th of November till evening before their return.

The Prabhari Officers were sensitised about their role and responsibilities during their visit and were given hands-on training on the different formats to be filled online and in the booklet being provided to them before they proceed to their respective panchayats.

It was further informed that the 2nd round of B2V5 shall be held on 14th & 15th of November and the 3rd and final round shall be taken up on the 15th and 16th of November 2023.

The overall nodal officer for the B2V5 in the district will be ADDC Doda Pran Singh, while the respective BDO shall be a single point of contact for the Prabhari Officers of that Block.

The information was given in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh, who urged the officers to conduct the programme in a festive manner to attract maximum public participation. 

The Back to Village (B2V) Programme is the flagship public outreach, participation, and feedback programme of the UT Government. During the programme, the Prabhari Officers shall visit their respective panchayats, stay there for a specific period to interact and obtain feedback from the grass-roots so as to tailor Government efforts in improving the delivery of village-specific services. The B2V Programme is aimed at involving the people and government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development in rural areas. 

DC, Harvinder Singh also sensitised Officers on upcoming ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ to be launched in the UT from 15th of November 2023. It was informed that the district will be divided into two categories, one with road connectivity and the other without road connectivity.

The awareness Van shall travel in the rural and urban areas. The Panchayats where road connectivity is not available, BDOs shall devise a special plan to show the developmental schemes to the people through projectors, screens, and LEDs. ADDC Doda shall be the nodal officer for the programme.

The District officers were asked to plan their activities to saturate their schemes in all the 237 panchayats of the district. Sankalp Yatra is a unique initiative of the union government to create awareness and ensure Jan Bhagidari in the developmental and welfare schemes, besides saturating the entire centrally sponsored schemes.

During the Yatra, key features of 20 schemes including Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM PRANAM Yojana and Urea Subsidy Scheme will be showcased. Vans will travel to rural and urban areas, disseminating information through audio-visuals. One of the major components of this yatra is that it will not only disseminate information but also collect feedback about the schemes. During the Yatra, people will be able to share their experiences ‘Kahaani Meri Zubaani’. Prime Minister’s Mann ki Baat will be live telecast through these vans. In addition, a virtual question and answer session will be held with the Prime Minister.

On-the-spot services such as health camps, Aadhaar enrolment, MY BHARAT volunteer enrolment would also be facilitated during the Yatra. Krishi activities like drone demonstrations and interaction with progressive farmers on soil health cards and natural farming will also be the key objectives of the Yatra.
