SRINAGAR: Srinagar’s young badminton talent shined brightly in the Inter District Provincial Level Badminton Tournament for girls in the under 14-17 age category.
The tournament, held at the Indoor Stadium Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla, witnessed Srinagar’s exceptional performance, securing victories in both the under 14 and under 17 categories.
In a thrilling showdown, the under 14 final featured an intense match between Srinagar and Pulwama. Srinagar’s players displayed remarkable skills, emerging as the champions in the under 14 category.
The under 17 category was equally enthralling as Srinagar once again took the spotlight, triumphing over Pulwama in a highly competitive semi-final match. Srinagar’s players showcased their brilliance, clinching the under 17 title in the Inter District Provincial Level Badminton Competition.
Jatinder Singh, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Baramulla, and Zonal Physical Education Officers were present on the eve of finals. Trophies and certificates were awarded to both the winning and runner-up teams, acknowledging their exceptional achievements.
Tomorrow, the excitement shall continue with the under 19 girls’ competition scheduled to take place at the same venue.
