BANDIPORA: National Deworming Day was Thursday kickstarted in District Bandipora across all health institutions, government and private schools and Anganwadi centers.
The main inauguration event was held at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School District Bandipora where the event was inaugurated by District Program Officer ICDS/Nodal Officer Coordination Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak in presence of Chief Medical Officer Bandipora, Dr Rafi Ahmad Salati, Chief Education Officer Bandipora and Head of Institution.
During the day-long programme, Hand washing techniques were demonstrated to prevent the children from various infections. The dignitaries also administered the Albendazole tablets among the school children and highlighted the benefits of deworming.
Awareness was given to all participants about given programmes and screening/counselling sessions were also conducted where children were counseled under various programmes.
