Udhampur Administration listens to public grievances at CFC Chennai

UDHAMPUR: A Public Outreach camp, under weekly Block Diwas program, was held today at Community Facility Centre (CFC) Tehsil Headquarter Chenani, where Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Sachin Kumar Vaishya   listened to the public demands and aspirations.

District Development Council Chairperson, Lal Chand; Additional District Development Commissioner, Ghan Shyam Singh; BDC Chairman, Parkash Chand; CEO PDA, Sher Singh; ACD, Dr Ranjeet Kotwal and other District and Sectoral officers of the District, besides PRI representatives and a large number of  people from adjoining panchayats attended the camp.

During the camp , the public and their representatives raised a number of issues and demands of their areas. They demanded  compensation of land acquired for Bupp to Barkunda and Barkunda to Kharwa PMGSY road, Separate Ration cards , Repair of hand pumps, Opening of new ration sale depot, construction of motorable bridge over Tawi river at Panchayat Bupp and  Matlowa, Provision of JKRTC bus service on Udhampur, Chennai, Mantalai, Latti and Dudu routes, Construction of road under PMGSY from Nagulta to Rajjar Block Chenani, Blacktopping of different roads, meeting shortage of staff in Nagulta Government High school, Upgradation of irrigation khul, Upgradation of middle to high school, Upgradation of road from Mantali to Naina Devi, Creation of  self help groups, Shortage of staff in health institutions, Construction of passenger shed, Handed over PHC building at Basht etc.

The DC gave a patient hearing to all the issues projected by the PRI members and  public during the event.

During the camp, many grievances were redressed on the spot by intervention /directions to officers of concerned departments’ while the rest of demands would be redressed on priority by mobilization of budgetary provision to the best public interest DC added.

The  DC  said the decisions taken during Public grievance redressal camp with regard to public issues and demands are addressed with proper follow up to ensure all demands are fulfilled for the public good.
