Mega Yoga Session held at GHSS Batote

RAMBAN: A Mega Yoga session was organized by the AYUSH department, in collaboration with district administration Ramban, here in the Government Higher Secondary School, Batote.

The Yoga sessions are being organized in educational Institutions on the directions of the Union Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India to promote healthy lifestyle.

The programme was coordinated by the District Nodal Officer, AYUSH and District Coordinator Yoga, Dr.Masood Iqbal Zargar,as a as a prelude to the upcoming International Yoga Day falling on June 21  and to sensitise the public about the importance of Yoga in daily life.

Tehsildar, Batote, Vijay Kumar Sharma, ZEO, Batote, Sukhdev Singh, Principal, GHSS,Batote,Devraj Bhagat, Medical officer AYUSH. Dr Mohammed Ayoub Wani, Dr.Palvi Datta  ,the teachers, students and other staff members of school practiced various Yoga pastures under the guidance of Yoga instructors Rajinder Kumar Sharma and Dr. Zargar.

Yoga instructors conducted demonstrations of common yoga asanas and pranayamas which can  prevent various lifestyle disorders.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Masood emphasized the role of yoga in achieving physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and its ability to foster a balanced attitude towards everyday life to enhance skill and performance.

He informed that the AYUSH department will organize various activities before the 9th International Day of Yoga.

He also sensitized the people especially youth folk and asked them to keep away from drug abuse besides suggesting various measures for drug de-addiction to save their lives.
